Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about UnjustExit and how it works.

What is UnjustExit?

UnjustExit is an anonymous platform where people can share their experiences with unfair terminations. We help identify patterns in severance packages, notice periods, and termination practices without revealing company names or personal information.

Is it really anonymous?

Yes. We do not collect email addresses, names, or any personal identifiers. Stories are posted with anonymous handles, and we actively moderate to ensure no company names or personal information are included.

Can I share my termination story?

Absolutely. You can share your story anonymously on our Stories page. We ask about your role, industry, location, termination type, notice period, and severance package to help identify patterns.

Which cities are supported?

We currently support the top 50 cities by population for the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. If your city isn't in the list, you can select "Other" and enter your city name manually. We're actively working on expanding our city list to include more locations. If you don't see your city, please use the "Other" option - we're working on getting your city added to the list.

Why no company names?

We focus on patterns over accusations. By removing company names, we create a safe space for people to share experiences while identifying broader trends in termination practices across industries.

What kind of patterns can I see?

Our Patterns Dashboard shows aggregate analytics on termination types, notice periods, severance ranges, and trends by industry, location, and company size. This helps identify common practices and outliers.

How is my privacy protected?

We use anonymous IDs instead of accounts, collect minimal data, and have strict content moderation to prevent personal information from being shared. All stories are reviewed before publication.

Can I edit or delete my story?

Yes. When you submit a story, you receive unique edit and delete links. Save these links securely - we do not store them, so if you lose them, you won't be able to modify your post later.

Are the stories verified?

Posts are anonymous personal experiences and aren't verified.
